Singers

The Ashburton Singers were founded in 1975. (A short description of how we came to be formed is here).

We have performed major concerts in the magnificent surroundings of Buckfast Abbey, and at many wonderful venues throughout South Devon. The choir have also visited France several times performing in a number of locations. See our archive pages for information about recent concerts.

In addition, we regularly undertake our 'Summer Tours' of local villages for performances of our varied programmes, as well as Christmas concerts.

We also do weddings, and will of course consider singing on other occasions if asked.

We meet every Thursday evening to rehearse in the hall above the Methodist Chapel in Ashburton from 8.00 pm until 10.00., and recruit our members from a wide area of South Devon.
N.B. We are always looking for potential new singers, so if you think you would like to join, please use our contact page to enquire further, or you could email us.

Being a small choir in terms of numbers means that members subscriptions rarely meet the cost of producing concerts and general running costs.
